Artist renown
and world traveler Jenner Baden is pleased
to present his gallery of paintings created
from travels that have carried him from New
Zealand, where he was born, throughout
Europe, to the Bahamas and at last to the
United States. He currently resides in
Hungry Horse, Montana, where he is
surrounded by the inspiring beauty of the
Rocky Mountains of Glacier Park.
Jenner's talent does not confine itself to
just one style of painting. His landscapes
are best described as "realism - twice
removed." Jenner paints what he sees, and
then he paints what he feels, giving his
landscapes a rare quality that strikes the
heart profoundly. His abstracts are the
inverse - capturing more of what Jenner sees
with his heart, opening the way for the
observer to enter into this special world of
Baden. Jenner occasionally paints portraits
as well, although rarely.
Amazingly, all of Jenner's works are created
exclusively with palette knives. No brush
has ever touched a Baden canvas. His
collection of knives ranges from large
trowels to tiny ones that could pass as
surgeons tools.
